After everything the Hiroko Nagai CPA Office has done for me and my partners in setting up our enterprise, I wanted to take the time to write to express my gratitude.

And who am I? My name is Arthell Isom, and I've been working the past 9 plus years here in Japan in the animation field after arriving from the U.S. Ever since I arrived my goal was always to have my own animation studio, but frankly, I wasn't sure it would ever happen.

In the U.S., we would have started something up on our own, it is a little more straight forward there. Here? Well, I didn't know the first thing about Japanese incorporation law. Everyone I knew or talked to recommended hiring an accountant that specializes in incorporation, but finding one that felt right was easier said than done. We went to a few offices but it was always the same: we were either too small to really get their full attention, or our field was too specialized and they didn't seem to understand our particular concerns.

Then we found Ms. Nagai. From the start she was interested in what we were doing and how we wanted to do it. She took the time to learn about our industry and familiarize herself with the particular ins and outs of the anime business world.  She even went over our business plan from start to finish to make sure we even needed her services, or whether we were asking for the right ones. As a foreigner, there were a few extra steps or hiccups along the way, but Ms. Nagai handled them quickly, professionally, and with expertise.  Her dedication to the job and the attention to our individual needs made us feel extremely comfortable and that we were in good hands.

Now, thanks to Ms. Nagai and her office my team has established our 2D animation studio, D'ART Shtajio Inc. and have already begun pre-production on our third animation.
